Introduction to Solar

Solar water heating is simple and uses proven technology. Countless successful installations over many years by reputable supplers prove that solar systems are reliable and manufactured to a high standard.

Free-Sol store, handle and install solar water heating systems with the utmost care and once installed, these systems harness the sun’s energy.

So what are the benefits?

Eco-Friendly and Money Saving As we all Live in the Land of Free and Ample Sunshine

Often, things that make our lives easier are not environmentally sensitive and things that are good for the environment can be less than convenient so it’s rare to find a product that is convenient, environmentally sensitive and saves you money.

A Free-Sol solar water heating system is one of the most cost effective ways of lowering your carbon footprint and with the cost of fossil fuels likely to increase, solar power is a great way to deliver free hot water.

Even in winter, sunshine does most of the work for you! You can expect to save up to 80% of the cost of heating water with a Free-Sol solar water heater and is likely to enhance your property value.

Our highly efficient solar water heaters are much more economical than electric or gas water heaters. In a short time, the initial cost of the system will be offset by the lower running cost and your initial investment will begin to pay you back.

Quick, Easy and Efficient

Free-Sol installs solar water heaters that integrate with your existing plumbing and heating system.

Technical advances in system design and manufacture means that today’s evacuated tube water heaters are more efficient and provide significantly better performance, delivering more hot water all year round.

Under Spain's normal Sunny Weather Conditions, our customers have found that their solar water heater produces sufficient hot water to top-up even their swimming pools.

Free-Sol customers have peace of mind knowing that their solar water heaters are guaranteed for 3 years and the electrical components are guaranteed for 1 year.

Silence from anyone who has tried.

Has anyone installed any of these solar panels in or around La Marina Urbanisation??? if so, it would be great to hear from you. I know here in England there was a big hoo-har about them and people lost money from them, however in the long run they will save you money.
With all-round (???) sunshine in Spain I thought it would be more beneficial so have these installed, maybe NOT??
Let us know if you have any panels fitted and if they do what they say.

One of my neighbours installed this system over a year ago. In summer, the water is too hot and in winter, not hot enough. Many plumbers have tried to 'fix' it without success so that my neighbour has just fitted a hot water boiler that is powered by bottled gas!

I would also love to see the maths that says that the whole life costs (including maintenance, plumber visits and replacement) will be repaid in the lifetime of the owner and that they reduce the carbon footprint! So far, the plumbers van has blown that out of the window!

If the water is too hot in the summer a thermostatic mixing valve can be added, Vacuum tube units generally work well all year round , the temperature will be less in the winter but normally usable,

First installation is always a bit more expensive as new pipe work is required but , if the pipe work is already in place replacement is usually cheaper.

I have found vacuum tube solar water heating good, a common problem I have found is that people do tend to let there machines over heat in the summer, causing unnecessary strain on the system.

In my opinion it is better to part cover the collector or run over produced hot water into your pool if you find the temperature getting too hot, and if you go away cover the collector completely, in effect turning the energy off ( as you would do to a normal boiler )
